That’s what Melodious Funk is all about - playing cool tunes with a high degree of musicianship. It adds up to good times with unique and serious fun.
Brian comes from a traditional jazz background, with classic comping and soaring solos. And when things get funky, he shows his electric piano prowess as well.
Ben displays his musical gifts from the start of every solo, incorporating inspiring melodic content. He's primarily a tenor man, but also plays alto and flute.
Taj is a multi-instrumentalist who's proficient on guitar and bass. But he's truly at home on the drums with stylings that combine his countless influences. His joy in playing is always evident.
Dan has been playing bass for decades and is a devoted Fender enthusiast. He favors a "less is more" approach to lay down a foundation that allows his bandmates to shine.
